Vinson Publishing welcomes submissions from authors and their agents provided they meet the following guidelines: 

• Genre - Non-fiction, fiction, romance.

• Type - Inspirational/Christian in nature.  Writings that stimulates the mind, body, soul and bring about a life-changing effect (examples of this are Chicken Soup for the Soul series by Jack Canfield and Mark Hanson or Piercing the Darkness by Frank Peretti). 

• Description of the book - No more than three pages that describes the essence of the book.  This description should give us a thorough grasp of the book.

• Table of Contents - What is the overall flow of the book.

• Target Market - Who is the reader? Be very succinct in your answer and why should the reader buy your book.

• Who are your competitors - What's the 'hook' that distinguishes your book from the rest.

• Endorsements - Let us know who the possible endorsers of your book(s) are.  Please note the individuals should be qualified, respected and preferably well known in their given field.

• Resume' - Please provide your qualifications that makes you an expert on the topic you're writing about.

This entire package should be no more than 10 pages.  If we like what we see we'll ask for an in depth Table of Contents and a sample chapter.  Please don't send the entire manuscript until we ask for one. 

The proposal should be printed on letter sized, unlined white paper.  Font is 12-point type, double-spaced. Please no fax or email submissions.  

Please send only copies of your materials, no graphics, illustrations or artwork of any kind.  Vinson Publishing will not be held liable for materials lost or destroyed in the mail.  In the event you want your copies returned, please enclose a properly sized self-addressed stamped envelope, otherwise we'll assume you want us to keep your proposal on file.

We review every proposal we receive and respond as quickly as possible.  Our turn around time is approximately three to four weeks.  If you haven't heard from us please allow additional time, we're not ignoring you it means that we're inundated with proposals.

Failure to comply with the guidelines your manuscript will not be read and automatically discarded.
